Timberland Park sits on 72 acres off the Natchez Trace Parkway near the Double Arch Bridge. It features an interpretive center, scenic hiking trails (including an ADA-accessible path), and opportunities for bird and wildlife watching. Pets are welcome on a leash (6-ft. max.) and must be supervised.

Visitor Experience Tip: Explore the park by downloading the National Park Service’s Natchez Trace Parkway app. It offers information, offline maps, self-guided tours, and alerts for all national parks, including the Natchez Trace.

Located on 156 wooded acres in Leiper’s Fork, this free-use mountain bike park features 13 trails across six miles for all skill levels. Built through a public-private partnership between Nashville nonprofit Outdoor Encounter and Williamson County Parks & Recreation, it offers beginner to advanced flow and downhill trails.

Visitor Experience Tip: No bike? No problem! Stop by Pedego Bikes in Franklin before heading to Leiper’s Fork to rent a bike by the hour or a $115 overnight rental. You can also book a Leiper’s Fork bike tour on their website.
